So people who know me know I'm Super Super picky with food, and I'm often assigned to bring our oversea guests to eat delicious food worthy only of gods 🙃 (which is why my previous restaurant is registered under the name Ambrosia (nectar of gods) ) ; So anyways, I heard there's this one star Michelin ramen restaurant that I went to try today with great anticipation, it was raining and I arrived around 6:15pm, seeing there's a long snaking queue did not deter me, as I queued patiently ALONE for a hour before @aureliahathaway @raozijie and @sylsylnoc joined me, it is only 8:45pm that we went in.
The restaurant isn't very big, but tastefully designed, with buggy touchscreen vending machine which I suppose is to emulate vending machines in Japan, their menu isn't extensive and the side dishes aren't available to order.
So we ordered Shoyu Ramen and Shio Ramen (which is the only available Ramen available anyways, just different variations of price point and ingredients)
I ordered the most expensive one (about $20+?) and eagerly I waited.
When the food came, I notice it look really ordinary, noodles, pork, egg, leek, broth, nothing out of the ordinary, but I grew up to learn that the most ordinary food often tasted the best. When I first took a sip of the broth, mixed with the dashi that promises a burst of umami ; I was thoroughly disappointed ; the shoyu broth tasted rather bland and I'm not sure why, it tasted fishy. I then tried Sylvia's one, it tasted literally like soap. Then I tried the noodle, it had a nice bite, the texture was good but it wasn't exceptionally special. The pork tasted like duck (or ham) and the egg tasted worst than what I could buy in 7-11.
Overall I was very disappointed for waiting more than 2 hours for what I call one of the worst ramen I ever eaten, I'll be better off eating a pack of instant noodle honestly. It may won one Michelin star, but as for XGO star, it's 0.
P.S it's my honest opinion, and as taught by my fans and haters ; everyone is entitled to opinions 🙃
P.P.S the rest shared the same opinion
Final Verdict
XGO star : 0/5
I will not recommend due to the insane queue time for that quality of taste 😔

Kitakata Ramen Noodles kit. Kitakata ramen is Fukushima prefecture specialty. The feature is thin curly noodle, soy sauce based soup and Chashu pork. I bought it from Bannai(famous Kitakata ramen shop) online store. I like Bannai's Chashu pork. It's very soft and savory. The 4 meal pack price is 2780 yen(25 USD).
